6'10 - 260 Micah Rollin Signs With Ball State

Micah Rollin Signs With Ball State Men's Basketball according to BallStateSports.com.

Apparently this big guy was 350ish in high school and has been only playing organized basketball for a year. But at 6'10" - 260, he may be worth the risk. It appears that his recruitment was spurred by the hiring of assistant coach Steve Flint, who also came from the successful College of Southern Idaho merely a week ago. Apparently he impressed onlookers with his game while he was in town this past weekend, showing a nice shooting touch and good big guy moves. This was enough to lead to the quick signing only a few days later. He was recruited by Fresno State (but maybe scared off by their pending NCAA investigation) and Ohio State (even though they have the catch of the year in Indiana high school superstar center Greg Oden).

With the departure of Maurice Acker and the rumors circulating about Pat Nelson and Landon Adler, it's nice to see a quick pick-up. And with that kind of bulk, I must say that I am cautiously optimistic...
